The Agent Orange Brief fact sheets were designed to help Vietnam veterans, their families, and others concerned about the possible health effects from exposure to herbicides during the Vietnam War. The Briefs were prepared to answer many of the questions that have been raised regarding Agent Orange. The Environmental Agents Service at VA national headquarters in Washington, DC, prepared this fact sheet series and is responsible for its content. This office initiated the series in 1988, and updates it periodically. This edition was completed in August 2005. The Environmental Health Coordinator at VA medical centers maintains copies of current Briefs. Comments about existing Briefs and ideas for future issues should be sent to Mr. Donald J.
